Your Words Matter

A Christian Exploration of Language, Truth, and the Power of Paradox

Words are more than sounds and syllables—they are carriers of truth, tools of transformation, and expressions of the Living Word. Your Words Matter is a unique, faith-based course designed to deepen your appreciation for language through the lens of Scripture, the beauty of paradox, and the structure of grammar.

In this course, you’ll journey through the power and purpose of words by:

  • Discovering how biblical paradoxes (like strength through weakness, life through death, and losing to gain) reveal divine truths beyond logic
  • Exploring definitions of key biblical and theological terms—and how modern misuse can distort timeless truths
  • Learning to diagram Scripture verses, unlocking meaning by visualizing relationships between parts of speech
  • Mastering the eight parts of speech and how they function to bring clarity or confusion
  • Reflecting on the Word made flesh—Jesus Christ—and what it means to speak and live in a way that reflects Him
  • Practicing the art of intentional, Spirit-led communication in prayer, testimony, teaching, and daily dialogue

What Will You Learn

  • 1. Understanding Biblical Paradoxes: Learn how spiritual truths are often hidden in paradoxes that defy human logic—such as strength through weakness, gaining by losing, or dying to truly live. These mysteries of the faith reveal God’s deeper wisdom and invite us to trust beyond what we see.
  • 2. Diagramming Scripture with Parts of Speech: Practice identifying parts of speech—nouns, verbs, adjectives, conjunctions, and more—within Bible verses. You’ll learn how to diagram Scripture to visually understand its meaning, flow, and emphasis, helping you rightly divide the Word of truth.
  • 3. Choosing Christlike Words in Daily Life: Explore how the words you use—spoken or written—can build up or tear down. Reflect on how to align your speech with the heart and mind of Christ, using language that brings life, hope, clarity, and grace to every conversation.
