Rent a Heap Cheap
My first day in a new city
Single parent, alone, 2 kids:
No car, no credit, no job —
Rent-a-heap-cheap to the rescue then!
Go to the temp agency,
Got paid by the week, that got me by.
No shocks, bouncing, sagging seats —
At least it started then!
I clung to the promises:
God will never let His own go hungry.
God will never leave you, yet
I chose i not e then!
Bitter or better
In the middle of loss and tears
Suffering needlessly then.
I shifted gears about 10 years later!
Now choosing the e for better
Not bitter for years
Processing the losses faster now —
Grateful for reflections in mirrors!
Faith increases in the valley.
