Possum Trot is the name of a community in rural east Texas. Something unusual and inspiring happened there. Now we know. Historical fiction? No. A movie that shows what really happened there.

Another epic movie premiered on March 8, 2024 by the name of Cabrini. She rose above the system to meet the needs of orphans in New York City at the turn of the 20th Century.

Now another true story is coming to the theaters. Get to know the background of the circumstances, the writers, and producer.

Before the Cabrini movie started, there were previews of coming movies. One trailer was Possum Trot that premieres July 4, 2024. Joshua Weigel produced it, and he and his wife Rebecca Weigel, wrote the true story of Possum Trot.

22 families from a rural black church in the small East Texas town of Possum Trot adopt 77 of the most difficult to place kids in the foster system.

Nick Vujicic has known them for a long time since they also “drafted” him to be the star of the short (20 min.) free video, Butterfly Circus in 2009, around 15 years ago.

These two interviews with the star of Butterfly Circus and the writers and producers of both movies reveal the hearts of caring people.

With the statistics that shatter societies, we can help to reverse the inhumanity.
